A Practical Feng Shui Checklist for Bay Area Buyers

Five directional principles worth checking on any listing before you book a showing.

Traditional Compass-school Feng Shui and Vastu Shastra overlap on a few core screens:

1. Entry alignment, the front door should not directly face the back door (energy escape). 2. Command position, the primary bedroom should see the door without being in line with it. 3. Ishanya (NE), keep this corner clean and light for study and focus energy. 4. Brahmasthan (center), avoid heavy fixtures or plumbing in the geometric center. 5. Sha chi checks, sharp roof lines, T-intersections, and utility poles aimed at the door.
